First time I used the Dritz Chalk Wheel and it was very easy to use and mark an A-line shape from my skirt pattern right onto the fabric. It marks an even, thin straight line.
Just a quick rundown:
-The fabric is smooth and cool to the touch.
-There is a nice, surprising weight to the fabric. I think the "Thin and lightweight, it is translucent" part of the description was leftover from the voile version of this print. That said, I would definitely wear under layers or line this if you want to use it in cold weather.
-I would call the drape closer to "crisp" than "fluttering". It will form folds, but it it not soft nor liquid, if that is the look you're going for.
-"Good stretch" is being a bit generous. If you make something form-fitting, you can breathe, but it's more 'twist' friendly than 'bend over' friendly.
-My main beef: The selvage wasn't the same width on both sides, which caused a bit of a headache for pattern laying and matching. I don't know if this is exclusive to Mood fabrics or just this one, but it's the first time I've encountered this in my years of sewing.
-Due to the direction the print is laid on the fabric, this fabric is trickier to use if you want something with a large circumference AND want the pattern to match. Luckily, I am quite short, so I kinda made it work, but it isn't ideal by any means.
I do like this fabric. It feels nice on the skin and the printing itself is seamless. However, it definitely gave me a bigger headache than it should have.
It is a beautiful fabric and the color in pictures was very true to the actual color. I am a beginner sewist and I found working with this fabric to be a good challenge to learned new seams and hems.
I designed and created a custom fit and flare gown with bow detailing for a customer going to a military ball and she loved the fabric! Has a lovely crispness and held shape great! I had never used faille in my career till this dress so several things to note:
-Once you press a seam, it marks the shape and is extremely difficult to undo
-Stitch marks are impossible to remove so make sure you are confident in your seams
It was a great first experience over all and would definitely use this fabric again!
Please with the 100% silk purchases I made. Mood Fabrics not only had the silks I needed and color needed for lining and facing for a 100% silk Tuxedo (silk dupioni and silk charmeuse exterior), but the pricing was within reason as well. Photography by Robin Fulton of Robin's Photography

Gorgeous quality dress fabric! I love Italian crepe (Double crepe) wool fabrics in all colors. Also in pastel colors, that I usually prefer. The same simple dress pattern looks different in different colors (with accessories). Highly recommended!

This fabric is beautiful. It's a nice heavy weight cotton with just the right amount of stretch for comfort. It washes and dries beautifully.

Open and airy, it is perfect. I hope they never stop making it. It's crisp/feels a bit stiff, it really is a knockout for me. Super pleased.

Beautiful but lightweight. I plan to make a blouse of some sort as it is a little light for a dress
