I'd never seen linen crepe before, so of course I had to snag this. It's a beautiful fabric! it's very drapey, and after washing the texture of the crepe is even more pronounced. It's slightly rough to the touch, with a dry hand pretty typical of linen. The colors are rich and lovely, and I can't wait to sew with it. I will use a lining for the bodice of the dress I'm planning, not because the fabric is sheer (it's not) but because it's textured enough that I think it might be uncomfortable on the more tender bits of my skin. I expect it will soften up nicely as I wear it, which is, again, pretty typical of linen.
While the fabric is durable, it has no give and is very stiff. The color bleeds in the wash, shrinkage was a LOT, and there's definitely some plastic in here because it melted when I tried to press a wrinkle. Was not impressed. Don't use for clothes.
I was in a bit of a rush to get swatches and fabric and had great help with narrowing down my choices. Decided on this fabric and absolutely love the color and weight.
I used Metler thread and size 8 microtex needles
this is a heavier weight pattern paper with dots every inch. I like this paper for accuracy. It is more opaque than the usual pattern paper but you can see through it to trace a pattern. And it is very wide so you get good value.
I ordered the swatch for now and it's looks beautiful. Color is bright and silk is nice touch on hand. Planning to make accessories of it. Having a business.

I choose the buttons for my Marlo sweater by true bias. First time I wore it I got complimented on the buttons. Moods horn buttons are my go to.

I used this as a lining for a gown. So so smooth to work with. Highly recommend. The material is definitely sheer, but beautiful!
