This fabric is a bit lighter weight than I anticipated. It's so hard to know when you order online. It's lingerie weight and I was hoping to make a shell out of it. It would be more appropriate for and undergarment. It is lovely fabric, however. At this point it will become part of my stash.
i loved this fabric in blue, so i bought this coral as well. my only negative is that you can see my underwear through the leggings i made in the coral color, but the blue is fine. I guess i'll only wear them for working out at home.
I paired No. 339 Gutermann with 14 oz. Rag and Bone denim to create a pair of work jeans that are washed every other day. Eight months later the seams and the pockets' reinforced upper corners are still tight despite rigorous farm work.
Pay attention to the country of origin on Gutermann threads. This German-made thread was of high quality, while their Chinese-made thread labeled "Jeans Thread" sold elsewhere was a dramatically thinner product that might have been more appropriate for fashion jeans or projects using lightweight denim. (I ran out of the No. 339 just as I began hemming the legs and had to buy from a national chain due to a time crunch.)
Fabric has a nice feel. Used a ballpoint/jersey needle when sewing. Finished seams on a serger. Does snag if you are not careful when taking out unwanted stitches. Fun print and the pattern reminds me of a stylized tatto.
I purchased samples & very glad I did as the fabric wasn't suitable for the dress I have in mind. I also purchased muslin. It is very nice & a high quality and good weight. My package was wrapped very nicely. Very happy with my purchase
I have never worked with reflective fabric before so I wasn't sure what to expect. But this was easy to sew with and it worked perfectly, just as described. The only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because there was an odor, like off gassing with this fabric, and some edges of the fabric were dirty. I ordered more fabric than I needed so it was ok for my project, but was still a little disappointing as this was my first order from mood. I ordered two other colors of this fabric as well and they all worked great for my projects. Everything else in my order was perfect. This fabric was shipped on a roll rather than folded and I appreciated that. Thank you Mood.
I used this for reflective details on Halloween trick or treat bags. It was a perfect match for our store bought costumes and the reflective properties worked exactly as described. This was my first time working with reflective fabric and it was easy to sew.
