I wrote a review earlier, but it seems to have disappeared.
The background color on the fabric is stated as "black" in the description and looks like it in the picture. However, this isn't reality; the background is much more dark green than black. The fabric is still lovely, but not at all what I thought it would be. I advise getting a swatch first before purchasing.
I didn't buy that, only got a sample. But I did buy silk from an Australian designer for the second time and some cotton knit and nylon lace. All were good.
This was the most incredible bargain and the fabric is such fine quality! Plus it has a wonderful plastic ziplock sack! Could not be more pleased! So glad that I bought two!!!
This is my absolute favorite material. I have made so many looks in this fabric. It's so easy to work with, cleans easy and handles like a dream. It's not easy to wrinkle which is a major plus. I loved the color against my skin and the style of pattern is the prettiest thing I've ever made! This is my dress trophy! Thank you Mood!
Fabric is lovely: it has a beautiful subdued colour and pattern, soft smooth feel, and opaque. I didn't rate it higher, because it's my first time working with polyester, so took some learning to work with the slippery texture and picking the right needle to avoid runs in the fabric.
I got a sample of the Premium Antique White Silk Charmeuse. It's soft without being too slippery between the fingers, and very light. I'm impressed by the diagonal stretch it has; more than I expected from my (limited) experience in sewing and no experience in sewing satin/silk. I could see myself buying a few yards of this fabric for a special occasion dress.
The fabric is very pretty and I plan to use it for a 2-piece dress with a backing. However, as usual, when getting fabric I first washed it as I will when the garment is finished: hand-washed in a large sink with a mild detergent (Tide Free & Gentle) in lukewarm water. It was immediately apparent that the water was dark, indicating that the fabric is not colorfast. The 3x rinse water was also darkened. When the fabric was rinsed, dried, and ironed, the fabric appeared unchanged but I expect that further washings will result in more loss of color and this will shorten its life. Therefore, I will make something that is either a mock-up or is not too intricate and will take less time.
Using ~ 3 yards of fabric, I made a simple green dress (bodice, skirt with gathers). It's nearly done and I wore it outside in the hot weather for dinner. It's comfortable, flowing and very breathable. Around the sleeves and pockets the fabric at times gets stuck in the feed plate, or occasionally I need to adjust the tension, but overall very easy to sew and wear. I love the green color.

I made 4 pairs of boxers with this material. It was great to work with; the pattern is unique but understated. It was easy to sew with.
