I made a Dior-style coat with this and it was easier to work with than I thought it would be. It looks so dreamy and elegant, paired really nicely with the silk crepe de chine lining I used. 10/10 recommend!
Love love love this silk. Yes it frays, yes it's fussy, bit ohhhhh yes, so worth it. Silk blouse, brocade skirt and jacket, lined and trimmed in luscious silk.
I bought the gold one to make a new years dress. It came out gorgeous but the fabric is pretty thick and has a lot of weight and structure to it. It feels kinda like curtain fabric or an evening gown. It frays very easily so be careful making mistakes, you might not be able to fix them without potentially making it worse :)
I have purchased several cuts of different "stretch cotton sateen" or just "cotton stretcg" with at least 2% spandex. I have been happy with the amount of stretch, but this has very little. I am going to have to choose something else for this. I should say that I also purchased 331346 and MD0249 to use together in a lined jacket. both have a nice stretch. I can probably use this for a tank and short sleeve shirt.
I didn't care for the solid color stretch fabric, but this is made in Spain as are several other stretch cotton sateens i have. They have the stretch i want as a size XL. This will be used as a blazer lining along with number 433919, which is lovely and with a comfortable stretch.
this is a unique fabric, got a sample of it on a whim and cant think if what it could be used for, maybe for home goods or for cosplay, id reccomend getting a sample before getting yardage, doesnt have much in the way of drape
