The pattern is just as vibrant in person. I made a pair of shorts and did not need a lining. The fabric was on the easier side to work with and is exactly the same as Mood's other cotton poplins (crisp lines, wrinkles easier, and shows any past seams or needle marks). Paired well with white thread and zipper.
Both the pattern and fabric are unique within my collection. The gray heavy blue lends itself well to this leaf, almost bug like pattern. The linen rayon/viscose combo made this fabric on the medium end of lightweight and took away the scratchiness of the linen. Though, folks who are especially focused on comfort, may want to use a lining. It made for the perfect, lightweight, indoor jacket. I patterned it after a cardigan, but it's probably closer to a heavier kimono. Easy to work with, though I'd recommend finishing one's edges soon after cutting, as I got some pulls from fraying edges. For reference, I found Gutermann 220 thread (dawn blue) to be a good match.
A vibrant and earthy pattern, with a barely there sheen. I don't know how this pattern ends up on other fabric types, but I was quite pleased with the rayon batiste. The large size of the pattern ended up deciding what I made (maxi skirt with big pleats). And the look of the fabric really changed with orientation, pleats, tucks, etc. I think this pattern does well with as few pattern pieces as possible. Interface is a must if one wants any structure or crispness, though it looks great when moving. I had some difficultly in sewing, as the fabric is on the slipperier side.
We had shipping issues with the original order (package lost in transit). The staff at Mood followed up with the concern and expedited shipping.
The product is exactly as described and will work perfectly for the project.
It was my first time to order from Mood fabrics. The fabric and thread came in perfectly! It was the correct fiber blends and colors matched so perfectly!
This fabric worked great for my granddaughter's first sewing project. She made a skirt from the 40's for a school program. She wore it proudly. The fabric was quality and came to us in plenty of time!
I was looking for a lightweight cotton that is soft on the skin, has a nice lightweight flow, and has an opacity that allows for a garment without lining. This pima cotton is perfect.

Love this for me! The colors are very vibrant and it has a really nice drape. Feels great! I think I expected it to be thicker, but is wonderful.
