Great stretch and elasticity, this material was purchased to make cuffs for a sweatshirt. Soft enough to be comfortable and sturdy enough to hold up to the abuse of rolling up your sleeves.
The whole 4 1/2 yards I got of this fabric is so twisted and off grain that it’s pretty much unusable. I had intended to make a nightgown for summer and I thought this would be the perfect fabric. I’ve been having problems trying to find a lightweight cotton. I don’t know what to do with this now.
The the fabric works quite well for what it's supposed to be used for, but be aware that you need very sharp needles and fray check. It will start to great at the very first cut.
Fabric with the definition of measure twice, cut once! I did end up picking thread from it a few times, but it's fragile.
Looks great though!
Cotton Voile is always sheer to semi-sheer, especially in light, and is best used in garments that are worn over other garments, such as a flowing blouse over a camisole, for Summer. You can line it, but then you take away its lovely property of being light, airy, and very breathable. Cotton voile, in my experience, is by far the easiest sheer fabric to sew. It behaves like a cotton woven, but looks like a million bucks.
This fabric was exactly what I was looking for, and it was a really reasonable price. I wanted to make a retro bomber jacket, and this twill has just enough shine and just enough water resistance to make it perfect for a jacket. I have had a ton of compliments!
This fabric is absolutely beautiful I love it. It was very hard to work with though. The fraying due to the nature of the loose weave was so rough. To combat this problem I interfaced the wrong sides of all my pattern pieces immediately after cutting
Beautiful fabric. The colors are vibrant and the fabric has some stretch which made it very easy to work with. I made a short summer jacket and really love the finished product!

Saddle Tan blends so well with neutrals. Gutermann quality never disappoints.

I keep a steady supply of the 44" muslin for making toiles.

I loved using this fabric to make my Maomao skirt! The only issue I had was with the USPS shipping delay.
