This has more orange and purple tones in person than it does on screen, but as we all know screens can present colors very differently from each other.
Nice and heavy, but still has a lot of drape. It also has a little bit of stretch, both vertical and horizontal. The texture is slightly nubbly and just a tiny bit scratchy, but most people probably wouldn't be bothered by it as outerwear. I love having an option for coating that's more affordable than pure wool but doesn't have polyester or acrylic.
I only bought a swatch for future reference, so I don't know what it's like to work with.
Made this for a 1960s Mary Quant Dress and it came out perfect. The fabric washed and dried beautifully and was an absolute dream to sew with. Nice and substantial, no lining necessary.
Soft but structured and dry cleans well. Remaking a coat for someone with it. I only received 1 yard instead of three. I let mood know and they are sending me the original 3 yards I ordered.️

Very smooth and tightly woven, looking at it closely, I think it's actually a sateen weave.

Partially see-through because of the weight, but it's still very closely and evenly woven - not at all slubby or gauzy.

I love this fabric. No need to line because thick. Beautiful quality.

This is fairly weighty, with great drape and a beautiful sheen!

I used this for some chair cushions and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The colors are rich, yet subtle.

Nice mid-weight fabric, as expected. The twill weave is very visually obvious, and it's at leas somewhat see-through, at least in the salmon color.

I love animal prints and this fabric is flowing and fabulous. I am making a long skirt lined with Mood's stretch silk charmeuse in angel blue.
