I always love ordering swatches from MOOD! Every time I see the logo on the envelope. it’s very exciting! They’re always package beautifully and I now have a collection of swatches but I will eventually sew all together and make something fabulous out of~ I can’t wait!
I bought this fabric without buying a swatch first, because it was on sale and it looked like some shirting I had seen elsewhere. It is too heavy and stiff to use for shirting. I'm trying to imagine what else it could be used for. I think it is too stiff for pants or a jacket. It might make a very structured dress. I think the original intention might have been upholstery -- although it would be very difficult to keep clean. The color is not bright white. It's more of a cream. In any case, I hope someone can find a use for it. Buy a swatch before you order enough for your whole project.
I bought this thinking, wrongly, that it would feel more like fabric, more like the weight of interfacing or something, easier to manipulate and pin. This paper is quite firm and hard. It’s quality paper and the dots are clearly visible etc. just not what I was expecting.
Review based on yardage as i have yet to complete the project. Gorgeous vivid colours and a nice weight of fabric, should work well for a fancy coat. I suspect this will benefit from some fray stop or edge binding while it is being worked on- not at all a fault, just the nature of this kind of fabric and handy to know when you're ordering this (stick a matching binding in the cart before checkout!)
Disappointed that the fabric as a whole did not look like the back, tan and cream stripes proportionately. Instead there is more of the primarily cream stripe areas.

This was the perfect fabric for my sewing class. I needed something to make a slopper. So this fit the bill.

I love the muslin for making mock-ups of the pattern I plan to use. Than I can adjust the size of the pattern.

Nice lightweight material. Will be using it for making a long skirt for going to the ren. fair.
