My fabric arrived quickly and was in pristine condition. Mood is my go to for my costuming needs. I'm a member of a historical theatrical guild. This gorgeous scarlet red taffeta was used in a beaded & jeweled hair caul for our Queen Elizabeth I character.
This is a lovely detailed digital print on Mood's smooth fine Spanish cotton poplin. Color scheme is great, but I'd call it navy blue rather than dark gray. Mood is usually quite good with their photography, but the fabric I got is much more blue than dark gray and won't work with the dark gray silk I had in mind.
This fabric feels nice and sturdy, with a slight texture. Easy to sew and work with, but so tightly woven it was not ideal for embroidery. Color was just as pictured.
I love the look and feel of boiled wool. I am sewing a jacket and skirt from a vintage 1960 pattern with the twilight blue solid . The fabric is easy to work with and sew. I plan to make a coat using the antique white boiled wool. The Windsor wine marbled will be a short sleeve top and skirt.
I've purchased thread from a few online retailers. Mood is far and away the best. The colors have both their name and number, the service is prompt (no waiting for days for it to be picked and shipped), and they're wrapped tp protect the thread from mishap during shipping.
I'm currently using this fabric for a uni project. I'm sewing a tube top and some bermuda pants. Everything is turning out great! It is not see through and it is very soft. Really easy to use and to iron. Would recommend this fabric to anyone who would like for their pieces to look expensive and comfortable. The price was ideal for the type of fabric you're getting.
