I like the appearance in the photograph, how crisp and sharp they appeared. In reality, they were not right for my project, as their clarity worked against them. They disappeared against the fabric, which, looking back, was to be expected.
Most importantly, some arrived broken. They are not very sturdy, and I would not use them for that reason.
These are by far, my son's favorite shorts. The fabric has just enough durability to last as boys' shorts, unlined, and also is soft enough to be comfortable. He doesn't have official sensory issues, but he is super particular about clothes, so this was a WIN!
The quality is cheaper than the last time I ordered this. It's much stiffer and more loosely woven. But it is muslin and it's still a great deal for the money.
I did not order yardage of the Tangled Thicket fabric, only a sample.
However, the three yards of fabric I did order, Pink Prickly Pear, came in three pieces, one as small as 1/2 yrd with a "Damaged" sticker on that piece.
Very disappointing, to say the least!
I love shantung and wanted a dressy pair of pants for my niece's wedding to go with a brocade tunic that I had. Silver was the perfect accent and I was told that I looked "amazing".
The Ketil boiled wool is beautiful in the hand. I chose Whisper White for it's quiet sophistication and elegance. It will make a terrific lightweight jacket, perfect for layering.
