the fabric is as beautiful as I expected. the online ordering process was so convenient, with accurate, detailed specs and quality descriptions. very satisfied.
I purchased 4 1/2 yards. Later I went back to see if there was any additional fabric in this color, and sorry folks there was 2 yards left. I bought the last two yards, and haven't seen anymore in the burgundy since 6 1/2 total.
I only gave it four stars because *I* misunderstood its weight. I was hoping to make a jumpsuit out of it, but I will instead make a lovely spring dress - possibly with a red belt - it will be very comfortable and easy to sew with.
It has a beautiful sheen and light weight feel. I love the quality and plan on making a black tie in this charmeuse. The pesto color is rich and has an expensive look. I would definitely recommend this fabric for special occasion wear.
I truly love the fabric and I am looking forward to making a great creation in the very near future.
I love that this fabric has a rich look to it and a little stretch.
My fabric arrive a few inches too short :( I was reimbursed the difference.
It will fit the bill indeed ... FIESTA :)
Beautiful color and great fabric. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future. I used the fabric to create a skirt I designed to wear to a NYFW show.
I am very happy with the fabric - it is pure cotton, nice feel, washes well - I prewashed the fabric. It is even better than the picture - bold design and colors.
I saw this fabric in store, and honestly their photos don't quite show off how beautiful it is. There needs to be a photo from further away, either folded or not on a white background so you can see the full effect. The iridescence flashes green/blue/purple and the leaf motif is on a black sheer organza.
It's also important to note that the color of the iridescence does graduate through the colors, and is on a repeat with a hard line that's visible from some directions when the fabric is laid flat. The repeat for this line is large, though, maybe every 2 yards or so. Mine ended up being vertical in my skirt and isn't easily noticeable due to the gathering.
Sewing with this fabric is a challenge due to it's slippery nature and it's desire to fray. Draping can make really cool shapes, but beware trying to cut. I used pinking shears. Lots of hand sewing was done on my dress.
It didn't matter to me, but many people would also find this fabric itchy to wear. But that's to be expected of lurex.

Pattern and quality of this added piece to earlier purchase fit into the lace trim we had already worked into ball gown trim.

The color was perfect for a Mardi Gras Wedding. The material was soft and easy to see. You do not need to line as the material is opaque.
