Purchased this wool to make a knee length cape for a Rhine River cruise in April. Planning to wear as a single layer or over my car length lightweight down jacket depending on the days weather. My capsule travel wardrobe is teal, charcoal, and navy this fabric will be perfect the teal-colored rose pattern imprinted on the wool over the tartan that offers an unusual interest not normally offered. Excited to add to my travel wardrobe.
The actual color of the fabric is way lighter than shown in the photos. It's also less of a deep purple than pictured. I'm glad I bought a swatch before committing to buying multiple yards.
Besides the color mismatch, the fabric is a nice consistency, and has a nice thickness to it. It also has a medium stretch to it.
As beautiful in person as on-line photos suggested.
Translucently light-weight; I'll be using a lightweight cotton lining for the bodice of the top I'm going to make.
I'll be using a McCall's pattern from a set of French sleeve pullover tops from the late 1980's that I have redrafted several times to update the style; design is beautiful and ready to wear after about 4-1/2 sewing time.
I'm in love with this wool blend fabric. I'm in the process of making a professional Santa Claus ensemble out of it. I won't have pictures of it until the end of April.
Beautiful blue color wool fabric. Not too much stretch, nice thickness to keep you warm but still be able to sew pretty easily. I am planning a historically accurate Northern European 18th century outfit and this will work perfectly.
I ordered a swatch of this organza in the color Icelandic Blue and it was beautiful. Perfect for the color I envisioned for my wedding dress. It had a slight lilac undertone, so the fabric came across as a cool-toned light blueish purple. I ordered 8 yards of the organza in this color, but when it arrived, it looked completely different from the swatch. I know the dye lot can change a bit, but this looked wildly different. What I received is a dusty gray blue, with no hint of purple to be seen. It looks so dingy, dull, gray, and gloomy compared to the original swatch. In color, it looks far more similar to a swatch of Gray Dawn chiffon I also have than the original swatch of Icelandic Blue I received. I wish there was a way to upload photos in this review to show the dramatic color difference between the original swatch I ordered and what I received. If it weren't for the product number stickers, I would think I was sent the wrong color of this fabric. I guess my wedding dress will now be a sad gray color instead of the beautiful light blueish lavender I dreamed of. I am absolutely heartbroken.
Love, love, love this print! The fabric is so rich and smooth and expensive-looking. Cannot wait to create wide-leg pants with it. Now I want the other color they offer for another project. Again, Mood NEVER disappoints!

Nice lining, to be under a charcoal felted wool with teal rose imprints, this will offer a nice complement when I take off and put on my cape.

Beautiful fabric, but unfortunately 7 inches of selvage edges unusable due to creasing that can't be steamed out.

Beautiful! Very fluid drape. Love it!

Gave me an excellent idea of the scale of the print.

These are very small and will be perfect for a blouse. I will use more of them, and it will look great.

An essential for stabilization of a jacket, at a good price.

Both colors are spectacular

This fabric was lovely to work with, very soft. Dyed it a slightly darker shade of brown

This was the perfect fabric for the skirt for this outfit.
