This fabric was easy to work with and very soft. I made a simple top using a stretch-n-sew pattern and it worked great. I recommend this fabric for cotton interlock lovers!!!!
This faux patent was amazingly easy to work with and the color is unbelievable! The fabric backing gives the material a good drape and when I added a lining, the movement was beautifully fluid! This is a must-have
I like having the curve to assist when tracing or altering patterns. For me it is a nice addition, I think it is easier to use than freehand or a ruler. Slides over paper easily.
This fabric is perfection! This linen is soft, without that coarse texture you often see. It has a good amount of stretch and some rayon for softness and drape. I am tempted to buy a bolt so I never run out. I'll be using it for trousers and maybe my first blazer too. My only complaint is that I need more colors. Plum, lavender, fuchsia, cobalt -- let's see something besides the neutrals they have in stock.
I bought the ultramarine blue and it is stunning. It is a bit coarse in the way that linen sometimes is, but started to soften up with the first wash and dry cycle.
The design is stunning and the fabric quality is fantastic. My pattern pieces are cut, but I haven't sewn my garment just yet. So pleased to have found Mood Fabric!
I had a lot of questions about the fabric (as it is so expensive I did not want to screw up). The team via email was very helpful even when I was being dense.
Haven't worked with the fabric yet but think it will do the trick of what I am trying to create. Thanks
I just can't say enough about this fabric. I have owned a few silk garments before, and absolutely love them, but this is my first time sewing with silk. It was for a special occasion that warranted a little indulgence. It should be noted that such an indulgence deserves special care so I really took my time with this make (it's New Look 6557 -- probably out of print). I handled it as little as possible, and with great care. I stay stitched every single pieces and either used a press cloth or pressed from the wrong side. To get a little flash of colour on the dance floor I lined the skirt portion with majesty purple silk crepe de chine. If you are looking to justify a little indulgence for a special fabric then believe me, you are worth it! I don't know that you will ever find something that feels as nice as this and floats around with each movement. It is both beautiful and comfortable and I have a feeling I will love this dress for the rest of my life.
I love this fabric! I purchased it to make a dress! I can't wait to make it. I know it's going to be gorgeous! The fabric is the right weight and I love the color!
I used this majesty purple silk crepe de chine to line a dress I made with Mood's Premium Sparkling Silk Charmeuse. I like the way the day purple lining of the skirt peeks out of the magenta dress when it floats around me!
Perfect weight and stretch for a fit and flare with a luxurious feel. Color is rich and deep. Gray reverse is nice for swirly dancing skirt. One caution - pulled thread no matter how minor on patterned side leaves a trail of the gray- easily fixed with fine point fabric pens. This might be a concern for an everyday wear garment but not for an event/cocktail dress.
This fabric was better than expected. My husband loves his new bike jacket. Didn't really think of Mood when shopping for technical fabric for outerwear, but the quality of this fabric has changed my mind.
