I was so intimidated by the idea of sewing an invisible zipper that I changed patterns to do a lapped zipper. Finally decided to grit my teeth and give it a go. Bought this foot and it worked like a charm! After figuring out how it works on my machine (I thought the instructions were a little vague - more and clearer pictures would have been helpful) I tried it on a linen sheath dress and it was perfect! Turns out it's actually easier than a regular zipper, once you get the hang of it. I felt so stupid for having put it off for so long but so proud of how it came out! Great foot.
Bought for my sister. Was concerned it might be too light for leggings but not so. Also made her a turtleneck and a princess seamed top- both long sleeved. I prefer the Emei French Terry for myself.
This is such a beautiful fabric -- more matte than in the photos, in a really luxe way -- but it sure makes up for it in being difficult. It shifts every time I look at it. It frays if it even smells scissors.
It is incredibly beautiful and buttery soft, so I guess it wants to make sure we can't all start using it for everything.
This Viscose Georgette is gorgeous. Our Granddaughter wants this made into her Easter dress. Slippery when cutting out the pattern but sewing it is working out. Lining is a pale yellow cotton so it is not so transparent.
These buttons looked very nice but I was unable to use them. I needed a button that would not scratch a banjo or guitar when the owner was wearing the sport coat. Unfortunately these buttons are very hard and would scratch the wood. I returned them several weeks ago and am still waiting for store credit.
I have used this fabric on many occasions and it doesn't disappoint. Yes, linen wrinkles but that's linen. It sews up nicely and has wonderful drape. I've made modern blouses, 1930s dresses, 1890s skirts with this fabric and it's timeless and classic.
Mood isn't kidding about this being semi-sheer; it's loosely woven, so it's almost a mesh. I ended up using cotton quilting to interline it, since interfacing showed through too much. It also falls apart at cut edges, so even if the garment is lined you may want to serge the edges just for a better (and cleaner) sewing experience.
All that said, I absolutely adore the Heather Blazer I made with this. It's a great lighter-weight layering piece and goes with almost everything in my closet.

Colors are more shaded than pictured. Blue and green tones do not pop out as much in person.

This fabric is beautiful! Definitely note that the stripes run crosswise, not lengthwise. It made my shirt look so expensive.

I made a summer top with this fabric and it came out great. Color is just as pictured and the fabric has a little stretch to it.

Frays if you really pull at it, quite structured, thickly textured but the colours are extremely vibrant. Stunning in person!

Love everything about this fabric. Easy to sew, washes well, feels fantastic on. Will purchase more, wish there were more color choices.
