I chose these buttons for a dressy, black velvet shirt, and they offer the perfect, sparkly counterpoint to the matte surface of the velvet. They are nice and sturdy, too.
Drapes well if you are looking to make a more structured dress but also works well for shorts or a structured top. The white is slightly see-through but not so much that I would say double layering is necessary, I ended up dyeing the fabric a light pink colour and it dyed decently, it has a bit of a heathered effect but I quite like it. The fabric was easy to work with and has the perfect amount of stretch to provide extra comfort when wearing your finished garment.
I love this fabric so much I have bought it on several orders. Light to mid-weight stretch with a smooth hand feel and easy to sew. I have used it to make women dress shirts.
