Vendor Review

This fabric is absolutely stunning - the drape, the sheen, the final look? Chef’s kiss. But oh boy, working with it is not for the faint of heart. You can’t mark it (trust me, I tried everything), it slips and slides like it’s got somewhere better to be, and pinning? Don’t even get me started. If you're feeling brave (or slightly unhinged), go for it - the result is worth it. Just don’t expect a peaceful sewing session. This one’s for the adventurous, the stubborn, and the slightly masochistic. Final verdict: Beautiful. A nightmare. 10/10 would rage sew again.

Lovely drape and smooth hand. Haven’t cut into it yet I bought it because it was such a good deal for a foundational textile. Looking for the perfect pattern. Maybe a loose jacket or little black dress…

Absolutely beautiful, haven’t had the chance to use it in a project yet but can’t wait to use it!

The navy floral pattern is so chic and the cotton voile feels luxe and lightweight (perfect for summer). I bought two yards to make a p√°reo and it’s perfect.

I used this fabric as a border on a reversible duvet cover. It’s very soft and easy to work with! It is a nice compliment to the fabric of the main body of the duvet cover. I’m very pleased.

Having sewn for decades I wasn’t sure I would be happy with the results of this crepe. Turns out this is not the kind that will “fuzz” out. Hallelujah! I took the swatch and rubbed it every time I walked by and saw it. Holds up great! I think it’s a shame if it’s only used for bridal purposes even thought it would lend itself well to that. For such a good, hard wearing fabric I’m going to make something fun and wear it as often as I can! Things I like - stretch, texture/finish, durability(doesn’t fuzz). Not too thin, not too thick. And of course it’s washable, unlike a 4-ply silk crepe. (I washed the swatch and rubbed it while wet-still good:)

The pattern is as pictured, I was expecting the weight to be a little heavier- it’s breezy. The back is also nice, a muted houndstooth. The linen is very difficult to work with, which made the jumpsuit I made not as fun to cut and sew, as it kept on slipping and sliding with the slightest pull. I did wash/ preshrink the fabric, and it became super wiggly, a bit thicker, etc. stains easily.

I used this fabric to make a mid-length wrap skirt. I loved the juxtaposition of the preppy look of the fabric and style with the hint of rock and roll (the skulls). I’m a beginner sewer, and I found the fabric easy to work with. I’ve received many compliments on my skirt. It is fully opaque yet cool enough to wear all summer.

The quality of this shirting fabric is so good! I had ordered samples of two beautiful cotton shirtings. I’m glad this one was still available. Unfortunately, the second one was sold out even though I was initially able to place an order for it.

I’ve not used muslin yet but when given time I’m sure I’ll get good results.

I really enjoyed working with this fabric! It’s a classic cotton voile — lightweight, soft, slightly sheer, and with beautiful drape. I used it to sew a pair of wide-leg pants and kimono trim for my daughter, and the result was stylish and very expressive. The print reminds me of cowhide spots in an abstract way — bold, graphic, and striking from a distance. It gives a garment an artistic, playful edge without being too busy or overwhelming. Because it’s a voile, it doesn’t hold structure, but it moves beautifully with the body and works wonderfully for loose, relaxed silhouettes. Perfect for those who love natural fibers, expressive prints, and soft textures. I’d happily use it again for summerwear or statement layering pieces!

Haven’t used it yet, but I have washed and dried it in preparation and it came out great. Not sure exactly what I am making with it. Still going over with it in my mind .

I was looking for 1/4″ but this 1/2″ was fine. Good quality.

This fabric made up into a lovely wide-legged pant, which we knew as “culottes” back in the day. I forgot that I was ordering something so wide and ended up with enough fabric to make a matching sleeveless top—perfect! I used McCall's M7131, with changes: 1 piece of wide elastic for the back waistline instead of multiple narrow elastic strips and a 3″ hand-picked hem. Not an option, but I have been sewing for 65 years.
