This vinyl is stunningly beautiful… until it oxidizes and gets cloudy. A microfiber cloth rubbing will polish it up again; however, once you see it into something, it is near impossible to get it all shiny again! Wear white gloves when sewing it… fingerprints on it are much harder to get off!
Gorgeous fabric. I haven't started project yet. I plan on doing an Easy Vogue dress pattern that suggests using a “stretch” woven. I found several options on the Mood website but was really drawn to this floral pattern. Thanks Mood.
Easily fits on my 40″ cutting table. Works well with rulers. Easy to get straight of grain marks. I got a big roll that will last a long time. Just put it back into original plastic wrap. Sharp tracing tool will transfer your size onto paper, making original pattern uncut. Then just use sharp pencil to fill in the dots. Essential for pattern alteration. Highly recommend.
Gorgeous quality and gorgeous color! I ordered swatches of three different colorways (Tapioca, Antique White, and Ivory) because I was looking for an ivory shade that had a SLIGHTLY pink cast to it. (Tapioca is NOT pink, but my fellow "it-has-to-be-just-right" people will get me). Tapioca was perfect shade for the bias skirt I made (McCalls 7931). The fabric is of course an absolute dream—so soft and luxurious. It's my second time purchasing this fabric, and is my go-to for any silk charmeuse project needs. Be advised, the fabric is lightweight and my project required a lining.
I watched one of your tutorials on draping and it immediately put me in the “Mood” to learn something new after 60 years of sewing. Mood Fabrics offered a great deal on their draping kit and muslin. I couldn't pass it up. I am so delighted in the quality of the product. It's soft, easy to work with and I am looking forward to seeing my imagination come to life.
This is the perfect fabric for my daughter's wedding gown. The silk is soft & flowing with just enough body. There are so many shades of white … this hits the right note: it's a soft “Whisper” tone, not stark optic nor anything like ivory. While I'm terrified to actually cut it, I'm sure once I do the dress will be spectacular!
I ordered only a small swatch to see how thick it was with my own eyes. The progress of my purchase was communicated to me, and I received the swatch promptly. Will probably order larger pieces when I'm ready to proceed with my project.
When I got this in the mail I was so excited to open it and get started working on with it. It was for a pretty big project. I needed them for pants for an outfit, but when I took them out of the package I was kind of disappointed. The feel of it was nothing like I imagined. It is way more stretchier than I expected. I don't know if this type of fabric will be best for making pants. I haven't worked with it yet, so it might turn out good.
For those who are interested in this, please be aware that it is VERY stretchy and it has that sort of silky scratchy feeling to it. Like cringe-worthy scratchy. It will have to do for now, but I will probably read the reviews better and the description or buy from somewhere else.
I took a chance on this fabric thinking that at such a low price there must be a catch. Fabric may be wool, but feels like silk. Beautiful color and I can't wait to get started on a pair of slacks.
The fabric itself is nice but the photo and name are very misleading. The actual color is QUITE different in tone and type of pink, think hot pink/electric fuchsia, not a nice rose color at all. Yes, I know I should have bought a swatch first but I was on a time crunch and usually fabric colors aren't this far off - the silver/grey habotai I bought at the same time was very similar to its photo. Extremely disappointed as this won't work for my project at all. Time from order to ship was quite slow as well.
The fabric is beautiful, all the parts were contained in a plastic bag inside a terribly damaged and nearly falling apart cardboard box. it's either Mood or UPS? Who knows?
I love the print design and the fabric. What I don't love is that the coloring appears more muted on my iPad, yet in real life the colors are very vibrant. I wish the pictures were more accurate with better lighting on the fabric.
Lightweight and to be honest, difficult to work with. Pattern is big enough for it to need to be matched, it's small enough that it has a tendency to look a little matronly.

Great color! Nice lining fabric… it didn't unravel too quickly.

Gorgeous fabric— wonderful quality!! Sadly not exactly the right purple for the piece I wanted to use it with—-but it will work for something else!

This is a lovely cotton with nice body, but not too crisp.

I’m still fitting but the fabric is perfect for the toile stage.

This is the perfect light weight fusible for a merino wool jersey. It adds just the right amount of structure.
