I searched everywhere for burgundy buttons but couldn't find anything in that color. But Mood delivered and now I love the shirtdress I created from the Ramillies Wine Calendered Organic Cotton Chambray. The burgundy buttons were the perfect finishing touch!
I buy a lot of rayon jersey for personal sewing, and the quality and weight of it varies widely. This is my favorite. It's a high quality mid-weight fabric. It's not sheer at all, but not so heavy that it feels more like a sweatshirt. I wish they had more cool mid-tone and dark colors colors like fuchsia and eggplant.
I chanced upon a 1 yard remnant of linen knit years ago and made one of my favorite tanks out of it, and was thrilled to find the same fabric again, and in a favorite color.
This is a great fabric. The only problem I have is it does have a stretch to it. You couldn't tell with just a swatch and there's no mention of it in the description, unless I'm overlooking it. I would have chosen a different fabric for my project had I known. I'm making a pair of pants with lots of zipper pockets and when I start to top stitch the opening of the zippers it stretches, creates small wrinkles and the openings are askew.
