My skin is dry, dry, dry, so the Bamboo French Stretch Terry is a soft favorite of mine. When the weather is cold, I even sleep in the Heretic colored leisure pants I made! The fabric has been washed repeatedly, drip dried, and holds up well. Emei Heather Almond is a swatch I am still considering for another leisure wear outfit.
This hand quilting thread was my favorite for years: vibrant color, strong, and stiff enough to reduce tangles. Imagine my disappointment when this new batch proved to have merely adequate color; it began fraying almost immediately, and was so limp I have to run it through wax to work it at all; it tangles on almost every stitch. And I bought three spools! Ouch. Mood is not at fault. The price was fine, shipping on time, etc.
I stupidly purchased some elsewhere and it was a huge regret. I use this for clothes and bag linings as well as quilts. This and the Heavyweight are just amazing.
this has a good medium - possibly heavyweight (but for those experienced with wools and boucles, we'll call it medium :) with a really nice texture that id almost call a boucle. it has a slight airiness to it because the viscose.
in the middle of making a hoodie and its a great weight for that
i like this fabric but the inside should have some type of softer finish , considering the fabric is wool but the outside has such a nice brushed feel. i assume they think everyone will be lining it , but plenty of us just do a partial.
I loved this fabric. It made for a stunning overskirt. I got so many compliments on the skirt and 90% of the reason the skirt looked good was the fabric. Highly recommend. It was light-weight, but looked like it had much more heft than that. I can't wait to wear the skirt again!
If fabrics could flirt, this one would leave you blushing. A brilliant emerald green, this lining fabric is pure eye-candy; vibrant, luminous, and the kind of shade that makes even seasoned seamstresses pause mid-cut just to admire it. It glows with a richness that elevates any garment it touches, turning a simple coat into a statement piece.
Yes, it's slippery. . . like trying to cut water with scissors (HINT: Use Rotary blade and some thin tracing paper) but it's also part of the fun. It keeps you on your toes, demands respect at the machine, and rewards you with a drape and finish that feels positively luxurious. The texture is cool and satiny to the touch, gliding effortlessly as you turn sleeves or stitch into curves.
What truly makes it shine is how it transforms the interior of a coat. Every time you flash the lining, it's like opening a jewel box. It gives personality to the piece: confidence, elegance, a whisper of drama. It’s the kind of lining that makes you want to leave your coat half-open just to show it off.
This is nice fabric. The hand is thick, springy, with high recovery, kind of like athletic fabric you'd use for lightweight leggings. Still, it's got decent drape, and I used it for a fitted wrap top. The design is kind of grainy, but unless you're up close to it, it's not noticeable. My biggest concern is that I feel like it's prone to pilling. I've worn my top a few times now, and no pills yet, but the surface does feel slightly fuzzy in high-wear areas, and I think by the time I've worn it like twenty times, that fuzz will coalesce into pills. Still happy with the purchase, though
This fabric is soft but has a crisp drape and the colors are really pretty. I love plaid and have not seen it in shantung/dupioni before. It is not a bright white but more of a winter white and chocolate brown.
I ordered this fabric to make a close-fitting knit jumpsuit to wear beneath a 1950's style Hostess Dress while photographing a wedding. I could not have been more pleased with this fabric! It's gorgeous, supple, and buttery. It's easy to sew with, and it wears like a dream - despite its thickness, it breathes beautifully. As for the color, it really is as turquoise as it appears on-screen. I know it says "sky blue" but it's more like a light aqua. I'm completely in love with this fabric and I can't wait to buy it in more colors!
This was a wonderful grab! I had a client that was pretty picky about their fabrics, and this was substantial and soft enough to be a great meld of both.
Thank you mood!
I bought this on a whim, and made a bias cut column dress with a cowl back for a trip to Greece. It worked out great, only the squares not actually being square made it rather difficult to cut something on the bias that is symmetric (just my personal taste. . . ). It's very light but I'm still able to wear it unlined without completely showing off all my underwear. I was planning to do rolled hems on the edges, but it was very finicky. Ended up with imperfect, but wearable results and now I am buying more. Gorgeous colors and a loose weave. Beautiful!

Beautiful glass beaded trim. Firm trim that doesn’t like to bend to much of a curve, but a stunning addition for any fancy garment.

I was hoping to make a dress out of this, but the fabric feels a little too heavy for that. I’ll have to rethink my plan.

the fabric is gorgeous and looks exactly like the picture! It’s also surprisingly easy to work with and looks really luxurious when finished.
