I bought two. One to keep the hints in and the other is for my project ideas and progress. I am also taking pictures of completed project to add to my journal. ~Mare
I haven't sewn with it yet, but have plans for a simple summer shirt dress with an under dress tank of pale green voile. It will happen, but not till next year (Hey. life happens) But even pre-washed, the fabric practically glows with it's soft colorings.
Just love it!
This fabric arrived quickly. It was every bit as beautiful as it looked on the web site. However, I found the fabric way too rough and scratchy to use for a garment. I could see using this fabric to make a tote or pillow covers, not for a dress as I intended. I'm going to try washing the fabric a few more times to see if it will soften up.
I have had to really experiment with this fabric. With tank tops the neck stretches out of shape when serged and turned to finish neckline. Washed beautifully but will have to double up because of translucent quality. Turning out to be a lot of work.
Normally I like to order a swatch before I buy material but as soon as I saw this jaquard print online it was a must have. It is an heavier material but handles and cleans well. And has little to no unraveling on the salvage edges. I have no complaints about the quality of material, it is as depicted. And yes I've said this with every dress I've made with material from Mood but this is my absolute favorite :blue_heart::blue_heart::blue_heart: So thank you Mood!
After scouring the stores and internet for a light inexpensive summer spa robe to no avail, I turned to Mood fabric and voila. I created a perfect light and crisp seersucker spa length robe. Blue and white candy stripes was my choice of color but there were a few other colors to choose from. I highly recommend working with this easy peasy fabric for any care free summer garment.
It is definitely a heavy weight, stiff denim. I agree with the other reviewer that the description is not really accurate as this fabric took several washings with a LOT of fabric softener before it softened up enough not to stand up by itself! It is a very nice denim, great color and is going to make a great pair of jeans.
I plan to make a BurdaStyle sweater with an oversize cowl neck, in preparation for the winter. I like the colors in this. With the belief that we should always pre-treat fabric, I washed the yardage (in cold water) and threw it in the dryer. (Yes, I know, but in the future I could mess up and accidentally use the dryer again, so decided to subject it to the worst up-front. ) It shrunk in length, to be expected and is pleasantly warm and soft to the touch. I've cut it out (thick and spongy, so scissors work better than a rotary cutter) and as soon as my Bernini gets back from the shop I'll sew it up.
This medium weight fabric worked into sporty camp shirt. It was heavier than I prefer, but that is simply a personal preference. The print is large and fresh which is perfect for a tropical camp shirt. The fabric washes, sews, and irons well. Being that it contains linen, large wrinkles can form in the shirt back while wearing it. Overall, there's no micro-wrinkling that linens often sport each and every day producing that rumpled effect for those who wish not to iron. This fabric finishes with a smooth and elegant surface. I'm very happy with the results.
The item came fast and in a sealed package was undamaged. Exactly what i ordered. I appreciate the detail in shipping i have ordered from MOOD a few times and always impressed by the fabric quality.
Ordered the tomato red color. Weight, opacity, and drape are as listed on the storepage, and if shown the fabric in person, I *would* describe it as tomato red. However, the image on the website led me to believe it would be significantly darker. I can see the color true-to-life in the background of the storepage's video (which is much brighter than the main image, still on the same screen). I probably would order this line fabric again, but I'd get a swatch first. My fault for rushing a project. . .
Fabric is opaque, but texture is a little scratchy. Would recommend using lining just for comfort.

Purchased this fabric to make a set of PJs for a client. He was very pleased.

This made a great shirt for my son with blocking of coordinating solid blue. Very 50's. Washes well. Lightweight for summer.

Used for lining in a swim top and bottoms. Very soft not irritating on skin even after use in pool

This made up into a beautiful casual summer shirt. I liked it enough that I bought a cream color.

I haven't made anything with it yet, but the stretch is perfect and the print is gorgeous.

The fabric is lovely and silky; it feels like I'm already at a resort just looking at it! Beautiful hand.

Great quality, semi sheer with a subtle sheen
