I loved this fabric, the colors are amazing, and the print is just perfectly wild. The orange red is a bit more red than orange. I ordered the green, blue and orange red fabric.
I made three dresses:
a green wrap around (Diane Von Fursetenburg, Vogue Pattern),
a blue dress using the Marostica midi dress sewing pattern (moodsewisty),
A orange red dress with puffy sleeves and belt (my design).
All are made with this amazing fabric.
This fabric is beautiful and easy to work with. I used it to make a gown and I lined it with a printed fabric intentionally so that that print (rather than my skin) would subtly show through the dress if standing in direct light. It's easy to work with but note that ironing should be done with care to avoid any burns or iron strokes on the fabric.
I'm using a little bit of this to drape on the bottom of my wedding dress for a pop of color. (Also using the lavender shade). I'll definitely buy more colors for more future projects. High quality fabric.
I bought this to make a dress that needed a little structure. It is significantly heavier than described, more akin to the weight of a curtain or home design material. I love the print and will try to find a use for it, but I will have to scuttle my original plans for it. Additionally, it is quite opaque, even though it suggests that one might consider adding a lining to it. I would not.
This fabric is so soft. I have not used it yet but I am thinking this will make the perfect lounge set. I have ordered several things from Mood and I am NEVER disappointed'
I ordered this fabric to make a dress with flowy sleeves for spring and summer. It's weightier than I expected, but the flow is surely there. On the positive side, no lining required even though the background is light.
The look and feel of this fabric is very unique. It almost has a rubber feel to it, but in a pleasant way. And between the sheen and drape of the fabric, it takes really well to gathers and the like. I had no issue working with it and I love the uniqueness this added to my collection. The only thing is I found this fabric loses opacity when washed, so this really needed to be dry clean only for me.
I ordered a swatch of this fabric and immediately decided to order a few yards. (I’m thinking crisp jackets and skirts, maybe a component of a capsule wardrobe)
The crepe de chine and chiffon in rapture rose match each other and the online swatches well. I look forward to making a blouse and scarf with them soon.
Very soft and just a tiny bit slippery, you might be able to use it as a coat/jacket lining. Looking VERY closely, I think it might actually have a satin weave, although there isn't much sheen. I love having options that are more environmentally friendly.
The description is misleading. The fabric is a really nice board short fabric, NOT a bathing suit stretch fabric. There is zero stretch, so know what your needs are. The print made a really cute pair of gym style shorts, however, it is really hard to match a top to it. All those pinks would seem like an easy find, but it wasn't. Finally chose a cream tank top and hacked a front placket using a leftover piece of the Hawaiian Roller Coaster fabric to tie into the shorts and complete the set.
The pattern was gorgeous but the material was a little bit stiffer than what I was expecting. This material is easier to know because of the pattern but for solids swatches I ordered I wish the warp and weft were labeled

What a great idea to have some stretch in lining. Non-constrictive clothing is the best. This stuff looks great too, very classy.

This is my first time doing a fully handmade sewing project and working with a fabric like this I was a little worried, but it came out very nicely.

My 11-yr-old granddaughter and I sewed her Easter dress together from this Liberty fabric, always highest quality.

Very pleased with my purchase. I will use this polyester satin as lining for a dress I am going to make.
