This fabric is lovely, especially for the economical price. I found I needed to line it, as it was a bit more sheer than I was hoping for. Also, being satin, it has a tendency to fray. Made up a lovely dress for my daughter for her bridal shower.
This is a perfect grown-up novelty pattern--fun but with some sophistication. The color is a rich, soft red-orange, not as bright as rust, not brown, and with no hint of pink. There's a slight variation of color in the weave which softens the appearance of what might otherwise be an overpowering, vivid color--this keeps the fabric flattering for more of us without deep, brown skin tones while not sacrificing any of the punch that should make it a favorite for those who can pull off those really intense reds and oranges. As a fair-skinned redhead, this is a shade of orange I can wear. The black line art is crisply printed, not muddy, but not so deeply black that it's reminiscent of Halloween. It's definitely orange, though, so if you're not on board with that, better opt for the soft white colorway instead.
The fabric has a subtle brushed twill weave without a notable raised texture and feels very nice against the skin. It's less textured than I expected from the close up photos in the shop, but that's a good thing!
This is a high quality fabric. Smooth, opaque, with plenty of body but enough give for fitted garments.
Love this fabric. Easy to sew with raw edge seams. Soft and warm. Only issue was that the color was lighter than the image online. Still a pretty light tan.
I purchased this fabric to make my son a Hawaiian shirt. My first choice would have been a cotton blend, but I've seen some men's shirts that have a silky feel. The colors are great and I like the palm trees and pineapples. There are some flowers too, but they aren't dominant. Nice for man's shirt.
