I was somewhat disappointed in the length and quality of the print. It had a few slubby spots that didn't print well. I plan on getting this print in a smoother texture fabric to see how it does.
This was the first time I bought fabric to attempt sewing. My 5 star review should have that taken into consideration. That being said, ship time was good and fabric was exactly what I was hoping for. I LOVE it. I ordered alot more than I need so I can practice making the same patterns more than once. I don't have a finished product yet, but I hope to soon. My skills or non-existent (haha) so it's slow going and not looking good but the fabric is still wonderful! I plan to purchase with Mood for many of my future projects!
very true orange color, very smooth, thin and has a very fluid drape. While not what I was needing for my project, it would make very nice top/blouse. It has very little stretch.
It ended up not being exactly what I needed but I wasn't too disappointed. It's perfect for a jacket I'm in the process of making and will be perfect for the weather down under. Easy to sew and the colour is true to the photo. Jacket is a WIP.
I bought the orange, navy, and dark green. The orange is very different from the photo, almost a neon color. Not the deeper, almost brownish pictured. The other two were as photographed.
I do like the feel of this fabric, feels organic and natural. The metallic stripes are an added touch. It is a little hint sheer and summery. Maybe best for lightweight tops but not bottoms.
Never start a new project without making a toile first, especially if you are unsure of the ease in the garment. Muslin is a must! Also, having a muslin bodice block helps so much to make up new designs.
