This is a great stretch cotton sateen. It's maybe a tad heavy but a great bottom weight but also good for some styles of dress. I made a fitted shirt dress and it turned out beautifully. Has a very “Tommy B” look to it. I wouldn't use it if you're looking for a lot of flows drape. It would work better for more structured pieces.
I know this is silk and stretchy, so I didn't expect a perfect cut. But what I received, when laid out flat, the two edges are off by so much, I had to cut almost 8 inches to make them match. A bit disappointed in mood for this. if this is “just how it is“, then I'm a bit disappointed in the textile industry.
This particular fabric also carried a strong dye smell that lingered even after several washes
During my search to purchase fabrics for making bras larger than a DDD cup bra, I have purchased many different pieces of fabric pretending to be “ high compression power net or mesh, but yours has been THE ONLY ONE to actually have stretch and return fibers or a good sturdy weight. I WILL order more.
Great fabric. I was worried as my application needed it to be machine washable. So I cut off 18″ and put it through the wash. It shrunk to about 15″. Applied fusible interfacing to it, made a mask, put it through washing machine and it came out fine.
Fun fabric
Lovely sturdy fabric in itself, but my cat quickly got her claws snagged and pulled out big loops of threads—something to consider depending on your planned use
This is gorgeous fabric! Wash and dry on medium heat—the resulting drape and texture is beautiful! Heavy enough for cooler weather but the wonderful breathability of linen.
This thread color matched my project perfectly! I love Gutermann thread! Thank you Mood for shipping so quickly and offering a choice along with the fabric—which makes it easy to pair notions with fabric!
I don't actually sew, but Mood Fabrics is my “go to” source for wonderful buttons to enhance coats and jackets. Even expensive, quality coats and jackets these days often have humdrum buttons. Also, classy buttons are a great way to elevate the look of an average coat or jacket. Mood to the rescue!
Made this up in a jiffy into a middy skirt. It washed up nicely, so it will be a valuable Go-To skirt well Into next winter. The print is so versatile— matches up with cream knit tops , black blouses, ecru sweater. Happy with this choice.
I bought about a million yards of this linen to make curtains for my whole house, and it's worked great. I love how the texture combined with semi-sheerness gives it both visual weight and an airy feel. That said, the loose weave and drape make it difficult to hem—I've had to be quite careful to stay on grain and not skew it in one direction or another.
Love this fabric! I'm using it to' face' a garment. Just the right hand—super soft, lightweight (but not sheer), nice drape. I'll order this again for tops, blouses and shirts.
This is accurately photographed by Mood. It is a bit stiff so will require the right pattern- not sure of style off hand. I wash most silks so tried a 6″ by 6″ swatch and it shrunk to 5.75 x 5.75. So if plan to wash I suggest washing fabric at least once in cold water, dry flat.
Un bleu outremer et un vert émeraude qui se répondent avec classe.
Le textile est incroyablement doux et souple et tr√®s facile √† coudre gr√¢ce √† son tissage fin et serré.
Perfect to work with! Not too much stretch, but enough to be forgiving if you “cut it a little close” with your pattern. It's warm enough at night, but light enough to get you through the afternoon!
The Leonardo Plus Soft Tulle is my most favorite tulle to work with. It is so soft and drapes beautifully, it truly is a very high quality. The cuban sand color is a very nice rich tone. I only wish this tulle came in more varied colors!
I used this tulle to create a gown inspired by a vintage beaded appliqué. This tulle over a chocolate brown satin gave me the gilded antique gold color that I was looking for!
Loved working with the fabric — it has a crisp feel and it's quite dense, so not see-through. But still, very light with a nice drape. This is everything a poplin should be. And the design reminds me of Marimekko.

I will save these buttons for cuffs on a winter dress. Think black or navy velvet…….

It was perfect for a summer sailing shirt and a test of a new “pirate” shirt pattern. It is going with me on every warm weather excursion.

Wish the color came through in the images better. It's an off white rather than bright white so I couldn't use it. Also very large open weave…

Happy to have a replacement after a client broke my original…. Love the handle.
