This fabric is amazing! So soft and stretchy. I have used it for years and it washes up easy and wears nicely. It's my one of my favorite fabrics. I have used it in the past in the other colors for hoodies, lounge pants, and even socks. Treat yourself and try some! I wish it came in Navy…please Mood Fabrics, stock some of the wonderful fabric in Navy!
This fabric was perfect for a fun suit in a tropical country. “Bangkok Camouflage” is what I'm calling this project. The stretch was not too much, but the fabric recovers well too.
I made a simple cropped v-neck t shirt to replace one I had ordered from Anthropologie. Their fabric was too sheer and snagged before I'd even removed the tags. This fabric is more substantial and has a nice drape, and was easy to sew. The color was a little too bright and brassy, but I took a dish scrubber pad to it and “burnished” it. It now has a slightly suede and shaded appearance which tones it down.
Bought Carolina Herrera linen fabric in Miami for the skirt—the stretch linen bodice is the perfect compliment. Easy to sew. Right amount of stretch. Looks beautiful!
This wool blend is a lightweight, woven, and soft fabric with a lovely drape. All raw edges were serged to avoid raveling and to create neat edges. The “checkerd” pattern is created by small diagonally placed white lines. When cutting the pieces of my garment, I made sure the planning included using the bias for a contrasting effect. This involved pocket welts, front and back yokes, and bound buttonholes all on the bias.
I chose to go with the brocade look to have my client get this goddess look of gold. This gold was perfect as it wasn't too gaudy and made the perfect shine under light and alone. I was able to cut the lace on layers for a 3D effect on the dress and it worked out perfectly. It handles black clear thread well for lace appliqué. I plan to order a different color of this brocade to make a similar dress.
Love it! I first bought the blue feathers cascading on a white background, which I liked so much I “had” to get this “sibling” as well. I made a long sleeveless dress out of the white version-I plan on making the same dress with this fabric. It's a show stopper with feathers gently cascading to puddle into a pile of feathers at the hem
The quality of the fabric was very nice & the color was perfect. I wanted it for a pair of slacks so I didn't want the shine — remember, either side of the fabric can be used & I used the “wrong” side. I've worn my outfit twice this summer and received many compliments!
Really beautiful and sparkly fabric. Caution and there will be glitter everywhere! The bolt also is a lot wider than I expected, though that's on me, so my dress didn't have as much of an ombré effect as I was thinking. Though overall a great fabric to work with!
The fabric was a big success as a skirt for the Flint Repertory Theatre's production of Ragtime. Our “Sarah” looked lovely! Great pattern and gorgeous movement.
I often get patterns printed by pattern services and they are always printed full size paper (my preference as I don't like scotch taping a million pieces) but it's of a weight heavier than bond. I usually use “fabric” cellulose tracing material for copying patterns but it is smudgy to write on. This paper is a perfect weight. It's a best of two worlds situation. Not as thin as traditional tissue paper but light and flexible enough to do a paper fit with the pattern. It is paper, not cellulose. I am going to buy a roll to make better use of the edges and open spaces.
This fabric feels so lovely, was perfect for Mood's Evanthe blouse pattern. Very soft and floaty. My only complaints were that it frays heavily and is a little delicate to work with—I got numerous pulls in it before I even wore it. That being said, that's pretty typical of gauze so as long as you're prepared for that it sews up nicely.
I created a pattern from a purchased pencil skirt to turn the ombré into my new skirt. The weight of the fabric is correct but it is a little stiff for the drape. I used the dark turquoise for the skirt and faces the waistband with a lighter section of the ombré. Overall, I very satisfied with the outcome.
Summer dresses and trousers, shorts and vests!
And needed reassurance with the swatches for a few more fall jumpsuits!
…. just needing to “feel” those few extra undecided fabric needs, which could be, and responses to hand or machine washed …. Thank you mood!

This fabric was perfect for my project— just the right amount of structure and stretch. Very easy to sew and I'm in love with the print!

Nice but the first wash caused the white background to become blue-ish. Not sure how to use this fabric now…

The lace is perfect for my sachet projects; the herbal sachets are about 3″ square so finding narrow delicate lace is a constant search.

This fabric was perfect for the Beyoncé renaissance tour. I made a corset with it and loved the way the holographic finish photographed.

Really pleased with the weight of this fabric. Not too heavy or light—perfect for the knit dress I'll be making.
