I’d never sewn with double-faced fabric before and, wanting the garment to be reversible, I had some learning to do. I thought I would simply use French seems to avoid any raw edges on either side, but I didn’t realize how unacceptably thick that would make my seams. So, I did some research and discovered the lengthy process required. It was daunting, but fun because I was tracing new ground (for me). My daughter loved the new cape and appreciated the care with which it was made.

I used this fabric to create a simple winter dress (raglan sleeve bodice with wide neckline and a gathered skirt incl. side seam pockets). It’s very easy to work with but leaves a little bit of fluff everywhere. I like the slight one way stretch. Enough give for comfort but not too much to sacrifice shape or style. Would recommend it for cosy garments that look a bit more interesting. If I was to purchase this fabric again I would make a cardigan or poncho. Personally I prefer working with other wool blends but nevertheless a good fabric.

I made the mistake of believing the description of the fabric and ordered 5 yards. It was beautiful fabric, just not as described. Yes, I should have paid for a swatch but it seemed so perfect for what I needed I foolishly ordered it not knowing that they will not return your money. I lost over $200 on that little deal. I’m not pleased about it. I have remodeled you home and have bought everything online. Everyone accepted returns without question. Just had to get the item returned usually within 30 days (I hate returns). But Mood Fabrics doesn’t work that way so I learned a very hard lesson. They said I could return for a different fabric from them but I couldn’t find what I needed. So I’m afraid I can’t do business with them any more.

I see, using high quality fabrics and Vogue patterns, because I rarely find affordable, stylish clothes in my size that are made with quality fabric and construction. I prefer to sew with fabrics that have a bit of stretch to accommodate modest weight fluctuations. Mood’s ponte knit is perfect for a new suit for work. The rich purple color is beautiful and unique, the weight is just right for a fall, winter, or spring suit, and the give in the fabric is perfect for my preferences. Look forward to making my new suit!

This fabric is absolutely beautiful. The silver lurex thread gives it a beautiful sheen that changes as the light hits it differently. The red silk thread is rich in color and adds to the hand of the fabric as only silk can. I used this as part of a contemporary ballet costume. If you’re thinking of using this, you should know that it can hold small creases in places (probably due to the metallic thread) that you may not be able to press out. For my project it wasn’t an issue, and I felt it added to the beauty of the finished piece.

I love this planner— it is so inspiring and fun to use. I appreciate the little mood board spaces, sketching croquis, and information pages. It has really helped me organize my sewing projects, so I feel more on top of what I’m doing.

These trousers were born out of a zipper. I’ve been trying to use up the miscellaneous zippers in my stash, and when I realized that Seamwork’s Melody Trousers called for a seven inch zipper, I started looking for fabric that coordinated with the pinkish purple seven inch zip in my stash. I really like these trousers. They’re comfortable. They’re flattering. They’ve got fabulous pockets. I added the back pockets because those are invaluable for phone storage. I shortened them a tad because needs must. But overall, I’m pleased. I’ll be making these again. The fabric is a stretch cotton sateen from Mood. It’s very comfortable. I might size down a little if I use this fabric again, but it fits well enough. And the color is lovely.

This fabric did not disappoint! I love the hand, the colors, the drape-ability—not sure what I’m going to create with it yet, but it’s definitely on my list for a summer project. Possibly s cute summer dress or jumpsuit?

Love the fabric! I plan to have all my blouse made from silk and that means I need to sew them myself to achieve it frugally. Since it’s silk, I follow the tip to sandwich the fabric when I cut it and no piece cut on fold. Takes a while but I like it. I hacked a free pattern and create a simple blouse with bell sleeves.

This satin is the exact shade I wanted - so dark it’s almost black. It’s rather heavy and apparently of great quality. It doesn’t slip much as I’m sewing.

I bought these buttons based on their interesting design, and while they are as described, the overall look feels a bit cheap due to the plastic, shiny finish. I'm using them for an upscale blouse, and unfortunately, they don’t match the aesthetic I was hoping for. The raised, faceted center is a unique touch, but it protrudes enough that it might be uncomfortable—especially if used on the back of a garment. I imagine it could be irritating or even painful if you leaned against a chair. These might work better for decorative or less functional purposes, but for my needs, they aren’t the right fit.

I received the trim for my project based on a free pattern that I downloaded from mood. The pattern code for this lace trim and it is perfect for the loungewear project that I’m using it for. The material is super soft and feels like it would never be itchy or problematic. I will start my project soon and update Later. But so far it’s absolutely a wonderful product. I love mood. :heart:Ô∏è

I used this to upholster a headboard, so I did not sew with it. It is a really nice neutral warm slate/grey with a green tone. I felt the balance of green and yellow was perfect. It will blend with many other colors in surrounding decor. It does fray easily, so recommend stabilizing somehow, especially before washing. I didn’t wash it and only steamed it before working with it.

I loved working with this fabric! It is crisp, soft, and was a dream to sew with. I ordered more than I needed for my project, but I’m incredibly happy to have extra fabric to use for future projects. I made a matching cabana set for my partner and a tiki set for myself. The fabric is breathable, very comfortable to wear, and does not wrinkle very easily.

This will make a very comfortable warm weather dress or top. This type of fabric could also make a very comfortable fall or even winter garment if you’re plagued by hot flashes, but this is a pretty spring summer print. It’s lightweight but not clingy.

I made a 3. 5 yd pattern work with 2 yds by using white for the bodice lining and some on the underside of each sleeve to give it the proper volume. Turned out cute and comfy- just what i had in mind. The fabric sewed up nicely and was easy to gather. Just fyi that holes show where stitches are removed for basting, gathering, etc, but it isn’t an issue for this casual dress :)

I made a great pair of cargo pants! The fabric hold its shape the knees don’t bag and it shows up very well. I am complemented wherever I wear them.

Can’t wait to sew this fabric in a fabulous 50′s dress style. These cotton sateens are my favorite material. We easy to sew with and so comfortable to wear. Black green and white is such a classic combination.
