This fabric is absolutely beautiful. The silver lurex thread gives it a beautiful sheen that changes as the light hits it differently. The red silk thread is rich in color and adds to the hand of the fabric as only silk can. I used this as part of a contemporary ballet costume. If you’re thinking of using this, you should know that it can hold small creases in places (probably due to the metallic thread) that you may not be able to press out. For my project it wasn’t an issue, and I felt it added to the beauty of the finished piece.
