This British Imported Emerald Polyester Microvelvet is a real gem of a fabric! An exceptionally soft, very short jewel green pile covers the face of this home decor velvet, providing a fuzzy, velvety texture without being notably plush—the reverse features a loose plainly woven white backing for extra durability. Stretch-free with a full drape, craft voluminous draperies—bold but not overbearing—or cover chairs, couches, ottomans, and other articles of furniture fit for a king! Be aware of the nap of the velvet when cutting, as light hitting the pile at different angles can make the color appear different. Opaque, a lining isn't necessary for most projects but may be desired in drapery applications to protect the fibers from heavy sun exposure. Note: This fabric, in particular, can be machine washed up to temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius and can be ironed on a low heat setting. Do not bleach or tumble dry this material. This fabric can be dry cleaned with any solvent except tetrachlorethylene.
