Streaks of textural yarns in a rainbow of hues run through the warp, bright against a weft of deep burgundy, taupe, tan, olive green, and white. Yarns of different weights lend this material a chunky, handwoven feel, and while one side shows the bright colors more than the other, either side could be used as the face. With a bit of give through the weft and a flexible drape, create boxy blazers, cozy cocoon coats, a-line skirts that close with a line of buttons, or handbags with leather details. Mostly opaque, insert a lining for additional structure and comfort in wear.

HOW TO CARE FOR WOOL FABRICS:
Dry-cleaning is recommended, though some wools can take hand washing. Always test a swatch first if you are going to care for your wool fabrics at home rather than using a drycleaner. Many of the fine wools Mood sells online and in-store have already been "sponged," or preshrunk, but you can preshrink your wool if necessary. Mood recommends taking your uncut wool fabric to the drycleaners and asking them to steam it for you, which will safely preshrink it more effectively than you can using home methods.

These care instructions given are for Wool Fabrics in general, however, Mood Fabrics does not accept responsibility for fabrics that are incorrectly laundered/damaged by following these instructions. Customers must test a swatch before laundering any fabrics at home to avoid damaging the goods.

I am a self-diagnosed 'textilphiliac,' with a particular weakness for multi-colored weaves. So this tweed jumped out at me. The fabric is as beautiful as I'd hoped – and my husband – the beneficiary of this project – loves it. Working with a loose weave to make a small, sculptural object was a bit tricky. I used zig-zag stitch and lining to keep it all together.
