the pleasant surprise was that the fabric had a sheer backing that many brocades do not. I will not have to use a lining as I thought I would. it is important because of the loose weave on the backside of most metallic brocades. the dress already has 2 layers. I was worried about adding a third. now I can just do the 2. a bit of a relief…. the fabric is a lot pinker than the pic, however. had to place the pieces in the creamier/blushier parts. luckily there is enough.
