I first purchased a swatch, cut and sewed the swatch, and my needle became sticky. I forgot to remove the sticker, so I assumed that was why, and went ahead and ordered some. Once I began to sew, my needle became sticky again. I emailed Mood and they told me how to sew it. Use a Microtext needle and press it with an iron (which you can do, just not too much heat because the little foils will come off). I had already looked on YouTube and found a video by Professor Pincushion. She suggested using embroidery needles, sewers aid oil, and wax paper. You definitely need all three! Can you use a Microtext? I would say yes, just also use the oil and wax paper. They really help slow down the needle becoming sticky, but the stickiness will still happen. So, I had to wipe the needle with rubbing alcohol to remove the adhesive. I even replaced a few needles because I was on a time crunch. My thread split and bulked up at the top of the needle, many times. My bobbin also broke once.
Despite the plethora of pain sewing this (LOL) it was well worth it! I received non-stop compliments and turned heads all night! This fabric is everything!
I scored it a four due to the difficulty of sewing.
