I am using this fabric to make Seamwork's Moji pant. I can't wait to make pants out of this fabric! Love the natural hemp fiber, please have more sustainable fibers!

I've been wanting to find more sustainable options for my wardrobe, and decided to give this a try. Its shockingly soft! I made a jumpsuit from it (the mood cherry jumpsuit!) and it sews great, irons well, and is very durable. I need to make something from the other two colors!

Beautiful fabric

I have never seen a hemp fabric that is downright silky like this. It's absolutely gorgeous. I can't stop touching it, and I can't wait to make it into light breathable summer shorts.

Used for a top and a yukata (most casual kimono-like garment). It's working beautifully for both. I'd like more fabrics like this. It makes a comfortable garment and is relatively easy to sew with. I used a 90/14 needle because of some of the layers on the yukata, but would probably use an 80/12 next time. The 90/14 seemed just a little big for it and left marks making certain stitching, like darts on the top, a commitment.
The dye did come off a little on my hands (but not my machine) after one wash, but was cleared up after a second wash.
The hand is a bit like rayon but with more body, as in a cotton. The drape is closer to rayon than cotton though. Makes nice garments. Would be good for spring/fall weather.

I’m excited to find hemp fabric, and this is soft and drapes nicely. The color is rich and washes well. So far I’ve made a couple face masks and looking forward to making a top out of it. Thanks for having this hemp blend!

The fabric is very soft and thin, it drapes beautifully and It will work really nice for any summer garment. If you love denim, but want a lightweight fabric it is the one.

Perfect thin airy fabric. It is opaque enough that it worked for a skirt without extra lining.

Great fabric and beautiful color and just the right amount of stretch

I made a shirt with this and it has a beautiful drape to it. Wonderfully soft. Irons well and sews great. It does wrinkle if you look at it funny, though, so be prepared.

This fabric is listed as hemp but feels a lot like rayon. It sews beautifully and drapes well. However, hemp fiber is similar to linen. Is it rayon made with hemp vs cotton, bamboo etc? That's the only rational explanation, I can come up with, for the drape of this fabric.

This fabric seemed to have multiple personalities. It washed and machine dried beautifully, emerging unfaded with a faint wrinkle, like hammered charmeuse. The dark indigo color more closely resembled black than blue. It retained its soft hand and luster, like silk. Cutting revealed it’s shifty nature and a bit of a tendency to fray, like a rayon challis. This difficult-to-find fiber assembled easily into a blouse using 60wt polyester thread and an 80 needle. The garment wears well, keeping cool in warm situations. Aside from shirts, this would make lovely loosely fit skirts or pants (I don’t think this light weight could withstand much strain at the seams.)

Great.

I bought 10 yards of this fabric for a class I was teaching. I purchase hemp fabrics whenever I see one that isn't a raw canvas – which seems to be the way fabric manufacturers think we want our hemp. I was surprised by how soft this fabric was. It feels like a 6 oz. rayon denim. Then I thought about it: Hemp is a woody plant. Maybe they sent it through the rayon process instead of the "linen" process that I am used to when preparing the fiber for yarn? Anyhow, I'm re-ordering it BUT watch out: you have to pre-wash it to get the indigo blue out. I didn't do that last time and all the students AND their machines looked like blue smurfs. So did their clothes. They asked if the dye would come out of their clothing and I guessed that if it didn't stay in the fabric, it shouldn't stay in their clothes. I think everyone came out unscathed. Wash first!

This fabric is comfortable and drapes beautifully! It is easy to work with, but it is not colorfast and costantly rubs off onto whatever it is touching.
