With a luxury that has captivated ancient royals to modern designers, this mature textile effortlessly elevates your formal living room ottoman, your tufted headboard, your piano bench cushion, and more.Here are some sewing tips from our professional velvet experts: Before cutting and stitching your velvet, decide which way your pile is facing and stick with it.Test on a scrap piece first—you may want to adjust presser foot tension and use a longer stitchCutting on the wrong (reverse) side will ensure accurate markings.Velvet is slick: cutting in one layer (with a rotary cutter!) and using a walking foot will prevent slipping; hand basting your seam lines will prevent creeping.

At Mood Fabrics, we prioritize efficiency and strive to deliver your fabric orders in a timely manner. Most orders are processed within 72 hours, with international orders potentially requiring an additional 1-2 days for processing. Certain items may have additional processing time, particularly those beginning with PV, FS36003-, SUN, AWG, and "Home" products.

Once your order has been processed and shipped, we use various shipping methods. USPS Ground typically delivers orders within 3-7 business days, UPS 2nd Day Air guarantees delivery within 2 business days, and UPS Next Day Air ensures delivery the next business day after shipping.

For customers needing expedited options, we offer UPS Next Day and 2nd Day Air shipping, available for an additional cost. To qualify for expedited shipping, orders must be placed by 1:00 PM EST.

Please note that fabrics and trims are not returnable, while buttons and notions may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 30 days of the original shipping date.
