Fabric is beautiful- but completely the wrong color. Now I’m stuck with $200 of very dark metallic grey silk shantung and had to go buy cheap polyester for my project- which is going to be miserable to wear.

The fabric is beautiful and was relatively easy to work with. It took well to an iron and was easy to handle without too much fraying (including for a lot of seam ripping, when I accidentally made my entire project too large, and then again when I couldn’t get my new, smaller sleeves to sit right!). I used it in a horse riding show coat with a light interfacing and bemberg lining and it has held up to a summer of wear in horrid heat and a lot of time in a garment bag.
I do agree the color doesn’t match this image very well – my screen shows a purple toned grey, but its more of a medium silver.
