I stumbled on Mood Fabrics while hunting for silk online to make a slip and Tencel to make a skirt. The specific names of the different fabrics offered were unfamiliar to me. I noticed that they offer to send samples but I was eager to get on with my project so ordered without doing this added step. I ordered lengths of both types of fabric. In both cases, the weight and texture of the fabric I received is lovely but lighter weight than what I would prefer for my projects.
There is nothing like seeing and feeling fabric to know it is what you are looking for. …or at least researching adequately to have a clearer idea of what will be coming.

The ivory china silk/habortai from Mood is wonderful. I have been using it to line/filter face masks that I am making by the dozens. Silk has been shown to be a good filter and easier to breathe through than the Hepa filters.

Fabric was sent in 2 pieces: 1 1/2 pieces, which should never happen. I was not given an option to cancel or proceed. The fabric could have variation in color.
