I am a professional seamstress specializing in women's stretch wear and love buying new fabric to try out. I found a winner here! This fabric has great compression without being constricting. I made Greenstyle Patterns Resolution leggings with it, and they have the perfect smoothing effect without limiting my mobility (or restricting breathing as some compressive fabrics can do). One side has a slightly more brushed feel and I use this as my wrong side/against the skin. The buttery, flexible feel is superior to any athletic fabric I've used in the past. I highly recommend!!
