MoodFabricsBurlap is a type of fabric made from the skin of a jute plant. Natural jute has a yellow to brown or gray color, with a silky luster. It consists of bundles of fiber held together by gummy substances that are pertinacious in character. Jute is difficult to bleach completely and reacts to chemicals in the same way as do cotton and flax fibers. It is widely used in the manufacture of linoleum and carpets as a backing or base fabric. This material could also be used for accessories, hats and interiors.

Dry cleaning is usually preferable, but some rayons or viscoses can be hand-washed or machine-washed on delicate, cool water. Line dry. Test a swatch first.
These care instructions given are for Rayon and Viscose Fabrics in general, however, Mood Fabrics does not accept responsibility for fabrics that are incorrectly laundered/damaged by following these instructions. Customers must test a swatch before laundering any fabrics at home to avoid damaging the goods.
