This is great fabric to work with! It has a luxurious texture, a very comfortable amount of stretch to it, and is medium weight. I’ve made several pieces in different colors and all look fabulous.

I got this on sale and it was a good velvet for the price. The pile isn't as soft as product #316408 (also a stretch velvet), but both sides are still very nice to touch so I don't regret going for the cheaper of the two. I made a circle skirt without an elastic or zipper, using the fabric itself for the waistband thanks to the stretchiness. I got the black color and it's opaque enough that a lining wasn't necessary.
