I really love this material, but was expecting the color to be a little bit lighter. It's still a really pretty color and a nice stretchy fabric, just a little darker than I was expecting.

This is a luxury fabric to me – linen knit! It is worth the splurge if you treat it right.
Here is how I treat it:
I serge the ends first, and wash it in hot water on the roughest cycle, and dry it thoroughly.
It comes out looking even better! The slubs are pronounced, and it is now soft and will not have the surprise shrinkage one expects from linen. It is also a little less sheer, which is a positive for me.
When I make linen knit tops from this pre-treated fabric, I can wash them in cold or hot water and dry them any way without being concerned about shrinkage.
I usually dry them in the dryer, as linen tens to be stiff when air dried.
If you have pre-treated your linen knit fabric this way, you garment should not shrink more, and should look and act like the luxury fabric it is.
