Come winter and fall, sartorial style starts with outerwear. Luxurious and dapper, this Black and Gray Virgin Wool Double Faced Melange is a must. Its melange twill face showcases a rich charcoal and beige tone, and has a smooth, lightly tactile hand. What makes it a piece to covet is its unbelievably soft virginwool back! A bit on the thicker side, it has a stiffer drape that lends itself to tailored designs. From overcoats to peacoats and trenches, stay warm and stylish all season long. Opaque and of a medium weight, there is no need for a lining.

At Mood Fabrics, we prioritize efficiency and strive to deliver your fabric orders in a timely manner. Most orders are processed within 72 hours, with international orders potentially requiring an additional 1-2 days for processing. Certain items may have additional processing time, particularly those beginning with PV, FS36003-, SUN, AWG, and "Home" products.

Once your order has been processed and shipped, we use various shipping methods. USPS Ground typically delivers orders within 3-7 business days, UPS 2nd Day Air guarantees delivery within 2 business days, and UPS Next Day Air ensures delivery the next business day after shipping.

For customers needing expedited options, we offer UPS Next Day and 2nd Day Air shipping, available for an additional cost. To qualify for expedited shipping, orders must be placed by 1:00 PM EST.

Please note that fabrics and trims are not returnable, while buttons and notions may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 30 days of the original shipping date.

HOW TO CARE FOR WOOL FABRICS:
Dry-cleaning is recommended, though some wools can take hand washing. Always test a swatch first if you are going to care for your wool fabrics at home rather than using a drycleaner. Many of the fine wools Mood sells online and in-store have already been "sponged," or preshrunk, but you can preshrink your wool if necessary. Mood recommends taking your uncut wool fabric to the drycleaners and asking them to steam it for you, which will safely preshrink it more effectively than you can using home methods.

These care instructions given are for Wool Fabrics in general, however, Mood Fabrics does not accept responsibility for fabrics that are incorrectly laundered/damaged by following these instructions. Customers must test a swatch before laundering any fabrics at home to avoid damaging the goods.

    I do not have a lot of experience crafting with truly good fabrics, so maybe I'm just speaking from relative inexperience, but even after working with this, I'm still drooling over it. The inner black layer is so incredibly soft, and the outer layer surprised me with how soft it is, as well. It has a truly beautiful drape, although it should be known that it is certainly a thicker fabric. Also be aware that cut edges tend to fray quite a bit, but such is the nature of something like this. Strong, durable, well-made material, worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.
