It is absolutely gorgeous! Personally, I think the "beige" background is more of a soft green, which I was very pleasantly surprised by, since the reason I hadn't bought it before was that I'm not such a fan of prints on white backgrounds. It's also wonderfully soft, and solid enough to not need a lining for a top, but for a bottom, you would probably either want to do two layers, or get a lining.
