Note that cotton canvas fabrics become much softer and more flexible after being washed and flat ironed while damp. This particular canvas not only becomes softer, but formulates a brushed, almost velvety surface texture. We highly suggest washing this fabric before using it as cotton canvas materials are known to shrink and this cotton's structural aspect completely alters.
