Associated with refinement and royalty, the damask patterning on this intricate woven features delicate curls and heavily stylized floral motifs arranged into a lozenge-shaped repeat reminiscent of the designs of a traditional silk damask, but is updated with a matte finish and soft, lightly textured cottony hand. Featuring a relaxed but ultimately heavy, supple drape, we don't think you'll have a problem working this classic pattern into your home. Craft regal drapery that seemingly pours from your ceiling, shorter curtains that punctuate your kitchen and bathroom with Byzantine-era detailing, or take on smaller projects like reupholstering a headboard or making a small throw pillow. Though almost entirely opaque, we do recommend a lining for a polished finish.Note: This fabric, in particular, can be machine washed up to temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius and can be tumble dried on the lowest heat setting. Do not bleach this material. This fabric can be dry cleaned with any solvent except tetrachlorethylene.
