Great weight to work with. Gorgeous color. Ironed beautifully. Fabric had wonderful body and for extra support I used a light weight interfacing.. Bodice was 1 yard and 6 yards for the skirt. Boning worked beautifully in the bodice on all seams including the bust of which the Burda pattern did not call for. Lined the garment with the stretch silk charmeuse lightly interfaced for extra support to the bodice. Fit like a glove and felt luxurious inside and out. I loved that the silk was a slightly different shade than the taffeta. Made it interesting and they complimented each other.
Thread was not as strong as expected. Kept twisting while hand stitching. Nice color match.
