Gutermann Silk Threads, produced in Germany, are ideal for the finest of garment sewing. Gutermann Silk Thread, reaching 110 yds (100m) per spool, can be used to close fine seams, for fine ornamental stitches, decorative seams, overlock and safety seams, buttonholes, and for sewing buttons on to garments. Gutermann Silk Thread is soft, supple, light-resistant, tear-resistant, and abrasion resistant. The recommended needle to use with Gutermann Silk Thread would be a size 80 Universal Needle.
