Spot clean only. Blot excess liquid immediately with a clean cloth or sponge. If necessary, use clear lukewarm water to gently wipe the spill. For stubborn spots and stains, use a mild soap and water solution, then rinse well. Dry with a clean towel then allow to air dry. If using soap, always test the cleaning method in a hidden area first.
For butter, oil, or grease, wipe off excess with a clean, dry cloth, then leave it alone. Grease spots should dissipate into the leather in a short period of time. Do not apply water to clean these spots.
Do not use hair dryers, any saddle soaps, oils, abrasives, cleaners (like glass cleaners or bleach), furniture polish, varnish, or ammonia water. The leather should require no maintenance other than superficial cleaning.
