Downloaded the free pattern from Mood for the Queen's Gambit Pinafore Dress and Shirt. I used a Parisian Tropical Wool suiting with spandex for the pinafore – in a nice deep blue. I made the shirt in this fabric and loved working with it. It has enough body and a little stretch to make the fitted shirt easy to sew and look nice even though I am – at best – an intermediate sewer. Pairs really well with the pinafore dress but is something I could wear with a pencil skirt or fitted dark blue denim jeans.
