An ogee pattern features swerving lines shaped like an s in an alternating fashion, as to create an ovalesque appearance without the lines actually touching. This particular pattern presents little lines growing off the stitch, creating a vine-like appearance. Embroidered over a Matka ground, Matka referring to a raw silk woven imitating the look of a medium-weight linen, this woven textile is as rare as they come. A subtle sheen is present along the face, textural and dry in hand. Without stretch, fashion tailored trousers and matching blazers, A-line dresses, or The Clover Crop Top, a free sewing pattern on our Mood Sewciety blog, using its fluttering, weighted drape. Slightly sheer in some lightings, a lining is recommended for increased opacity. Please note, this fabric weighs 237 GSM.
