These trousers were born out of a zipper. I’ve been trying to use up the miscellaneous zippers in my stash, and when I realized that Seamwork’s Melody Trousers called for a seven inch zipper, I started looking for fabric that coordinated with the pinkish purple seven inch zip in my stash.
I really like these trousers. They’re comfortable. They’re flattering. They’ve got fabulous pockets. I added the back pockets because those are invaluable for phone storage. I shortened them a tad because needs must. But overall, I’m pleased. I’ll be making these again.
The fabric is a stretch cotton sateen from Mood. It’s very comfortable. I might size down a little if I use this fabric again, but it fits well enough. And the color is lovely.
